In the Charleston South Carolina area, properties in the 300,000-400,000 range can easily be found. Depending how close you want live to historic downtown or the beaches, the more you can get for you money.
In Charleston county you can get a 300 square foot beachfront condo or a 3,000 square foot single family home in a golf community.
In West Ashley, 400,000 can get you a 1940’s home in the trendy Byrnes Down neighborhood. However, you can also get a riverfront new construction condo or town home in The Gatherings.
