The InterTech Group Inc aerospace subsidiary TigHitco will be building it's sixth plant in North Charleston South Carolina bringing 350 more jobs to the area. Boeing is one of TigHitco's main customers but they sell to aerospace companies all over the Southeast. Intertech's VP said Boeing did not make them pick Charleston. "The state of South Carolina and Charleston County put together the right incentive package. That's one reason," said Jay Tiedemann, InterTech's executive vice president and chief operating officer. Jobs will include "not just blue-collar jobs but engineering jobs, administrative jobs and highly skilled production jobs."
The Plant should be open fall of 2012.
